Business Solutions Consultant

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges' Continuing Education Department is seeking a full-time Business Solutions Consultant. 

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Economic Development and Contract Sales, this position will be responsible for: 

  • Selling EICC professional and technical training programs and services to business and industry located within the EICC geographic area. The consultant/sales person will focus on both contracted and public training courses meeting needs of regional employers and their employees.  The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting individual and team sales targets as assigned.  This position will also be responsible for participating in community outreach and representing EICC at local chamber and regional employer centric events.

Qualifications will include:

  • Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of sales experience, or equivalent experience in training and development in the areas (but not limited to) of leadership, technical skills, IT, and safety.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Successful candidate must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience/knowledge of manufacturing and/or HR training and development skills preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work with a diverse workforce, student population, and external constituents.
  • Must possess the attitude, knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to provide quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
