Grounds and Maintenance Summer Employees

Scott Community College - Belmont campus is seeking part-time Grounds and Maintenance Summer Employees (Up to 19 hours per week)

Under the direction of the SCC Maintenance Lead Technician this position will be responsible for:

  • Furniture moves and construction assignments.
  • Routinely performs carpentry, general maintenance, assembling and moving of furniture, pick-up litter on grounds.
  • Assignments may include window washing and painting.
  • Assist with maintain the grounds and facilities of the college.
  • Assists with preparation and set-up for special events and activities, as well as attending as needed.

Qualifications will include:

  • Must have high school diploma or HSE.
  • Must have and maintain a valid and clear driver’s license.
  • Must have dependable work ethic.
  • Must be willing to learn outdoor jobs, tools, and outdoor equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population, staff, and external constituents.
