Transfer/STEM Advisor

Easter Iowa Community College is seeking a Transfer/STEM Advisor.

Under the direction of the Dean of Instruction, this position will be responsible for serving as the primary contact to assist students and staff in understanding the transfer process for EICC students.   This position will serve as the primary contact with selected universities to develop relationships, which will assist students seeking transfer, and help promote program opportunities available. The advisor serves as the trainer for transfer/ STEM for other colleagues at EICC. The advisor serves as the lead advisor for STEM students. 

Qualifications will include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required to work with a diverse student population.
  • Three years of higher education experience, particularly in a community college, preferred.
  •  Organizational and management skills are required.
  • A working knowledge of college general education requirements and transfer processes is preferred.
  • Computer literacy essential.
