We’re proud to share that Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is an Aspen Prize Top 200 U.S. Community College and was invited to apply for the 2027 award for Community College Excellence and $1 million in shared prize funds.

 

This honor recognizes the dedication of our faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, and community partners who make EICC a place where students thrive. The Aspen process is one of the most respected in higher education, highlighting colleges that excel in student learning, completion, and community impact.

 

As shared in the video message, this milestone celebrates our successes and is an opportunity to reflect on where we can continue to grow. Our team will prepare the Aspen application this fall, with semifinalists announced in spring 2026.
