This is a list of potential work-study positions, and some positions may have already been filled. Employment is not guaranteed. Please email the contact person to inquire. 

All positions pay $11 per hour.

Scanning, filing, and indexing in DocuWare. Assisting at the front desk and providing lunch coverage. Making copies of documents, answering phones, and greeting customers.  Must be detail oriented, tasks could include archiving records, registering students, preparing documentation for orientations, assisting with graduation, and updating presentations or social media content. Will be working with confidential information.

Get kids excited about reading! With direction from the classroom teacher, you will tutor individual or small groups in Reading and Math. Assist in classrooms with individual students.

Multiple positions available at two Clinton Community School District Grade Schools.

Wage: $11

Greeting patrons, answering the phones, check in/checkout/renew materials, creating/updating patron accounts, documenting daily stats, taking payments in the form of cash, check or card and making change as needed, finding materials, answering reference questions, helping patrons using public computers, printing, making copies and using the scanner. Processing circulation of materials, putting away materials in proper locations, shelving, shifting, reading and/or straightening shelves.

Updating the United Way of Clinton County and Connect Clinton Country websites, updating social media pages, helping other non-profits with needs.

Assist instructor with setting up the lab for class, checking inventory and supplies for ordering, and cleaning up the lab.

Tutoring students in specific subjects, assisting students with computers, and providing a friendly environment, opening and securing the room, and other duties as assigned. If interested there is a separate application when you interview. You must have at least a “B” in the subject you wish to tutor.

Cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, setting up for events, and other duties as assigned.

Greet, welcome, and encourage students. Help new students register for the program; keep classroom materials filed and organized; make copies; assist with tutoring as appropriate; escort students to testing as needed; be an ambassador for EICC.

Perform clerical work for the Maquoketa Center, assemble packets for the Maquoketa HiSET classes, and other duties as they are assigned. Maquoketa resident preferred.

Assist maintenance staff with maintaining buildings, parking lots and grounds. Duties could include minor repairs, changing light bulbs, painting, cleaning, lifting items, using power tools.

Lead campus tours and welcome visitors to campus; educate the community about EICC opportunities; assist in college outreach efforts and events; follow up with prospective students via phone or email; participate in training and leadership development activities; and attend student ambassador meetings as needed.

Helping with setting up for student events, updating whiteboards, distributing flyers, helping at events if needed, making calls, helping with student “Eat It” meals, and helping with various clubs.
