  • Finding and evaluating resources

  • Integrating and synthesizing resources
  • Utilizing library resources
  • Utilizing electronic database resources
• Work with students across disciplines and writing skill level
• Work with English as a Second Language students
• Tutoring may be on a one-on-one basis or may take place in a group setting with the tutor moving from student to student

Qualifications:

Required:

• Have completed and earned an A in both English Composition I and II
• Provide a writing sample
• Strong reading, writing, and research skills

Preferred:

• Recommendation from a former English Composition instructor
• Must be comfortable working with people
• Must be able to multitask (during peak times, you may help multiple students at the same time)
• Microsoft Word functions (setting font, double-spacing, headings, etc.)
