All positions pay $11 per hour.
Conduct campus tours, assist with orientations and on campus events. Promotion of clubs, activities, sports, and EICC programs. Prospective student follow-up and walk students through admission steps, thank you note writing, prep folders, student activities events and projects, dress as the eagle mascot for events. Serve as overall student ambassador for the college. Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Math Tutor to assist students (9-12 hours per week) in improving their understanding of mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate will create a positive and supportive learning environment, working with a diverse student population to help them achieve academic success and have completed either Statistics (MAT 156) or College Algebra (MAT 121) with an A or B. Training is provided, and flexibility in scheduling is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring in Statistics and/or College Algebra to individual students or small groups.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere for students of diverse backgrounds.
- Assist students in understanding course materials and developing problem-solving skills.
- Adapt tutoring methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance tutoring effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Completion of MAT 156 Statistics or MAT 121 College Algebra with an A or B.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and helping others succeed.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (with flexibility)

Provides assistance to the Biological Sciences Laboratory Assistant I, in the preparation of bacterial cultures, chemical solutions, and biological reagents. Prepares, autoclaves, and dispenses sterile microbiological media according to established laboratory protocols. Sets up a variety of laboratory experiments according to written instructions, cleans laboratory glassware, cleans, and/or maintains microscopes and other laboratory equipment using established procedures and protocols. Monitors laboratory safety and security, ensures all laboratory materials and equipment are properly stored and secured. Cleans and disinfects laboratory areas not maintained by custodial services (laboratory benches and countertops). Assists in the proper disposal of biohazardous waste materials, non-pathological wastes, and waste chemicals in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and SCC policies, additional duties as directed.

Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. Set up and prepare instructional equipment for laboratories and demonstrations. Assist students with operation of equipment in the CNC Machining Laboratory.

Provide service and assistance in all areas pertaining to human resources services. Assist with recruitment onboarding processes to meet staffing requirements. Perform various clerical and administrative tasks. Collaborate with HR team members to identify areas for process improvement and automation, including researching vendor opportunities and other solutions. Assist with current year HR strategies. Contribute to project work aligned to the field of Human Resources.

A Student Ambassador is a terrific way to meet other students across different departments while having a part-time job. Student Ambassadors will advise prospective students about EICC events and college life. The Student Ambassador will become a specialist in one or more areas relating to our student recruitment activities and build practical skills while increasing visibility to the campus. The role of Student Ambassador works well around the student's studies and will have a flexible schedule. The role of a Student Ambassador will entail participation in various events with various age groups on and off campus.

The tutor will work closely with students to identify their academic needs and foster a positive learning environment. Training will be provided to ensure tutors are equipped with the necessary skills and strategies to support student success.

Requirements:
- Must be a current student with a Federal Work-Study award.
- Must have received an A or B in the subject(s) you wish to tutor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with others and enjoy working with people.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of effective study strategies and learning techniques.
Training: Training will be provided to ensure tutors are familiar with effective tutoring strategies, campus resources, and policies related to academic integrity and student support.
