Automation is not the future of manufacturing. It is the job right now.

Prepare yourself to work with the systems that power modern production floors. At EICC, learn how machines communicate, how robots move, and how automated systems stay safe, efficient, and running.

This hands-on, applied degree blends classroom learning with lab-based work. In as little as two years, you’re ready to step into a career in advanced manufacturing right here in Eastern Iowa, or well beyond.

What You Learn in Automation and Robotics

You build the technical skills employers expect from automation and robotics technicians, including:

  • Electrical and mechanical system fundamentals
  • Industrial safety and workplace standards
  • Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Robotics programming and operation
  • Digital circuits and control systems
  • Fluid power and pneumatic systems
  • Industrial networking and process control

You learn by working with real equipment and real scenarios, not simulations alone.
