Processing times are a little delayed this year, so the information EICC needs to create your Financial Aid Award letter won’t be in your hands as quickly as years past. But this won’t stall your plans for this fall.
Late last year, the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) released a new, streamlined FAFSA to make the process easier and to expand Pell Grant eligibility and awards to more people.
When the new 2024-2025 FAFSA went live in December there was an issue on the backend. DOE fixed it earlier this month, but it caused a delay in processing. DOE expects to start sending schools FAFSA information in early March. As soon as we get yours, we’ll prepare and send your Award letter.
If you haven’t filed the FAFSA yet, don’t let this stop you. Go online and complete it now. We will do all we can to help get you enrolled in Fall 2024 classes and have your financial aid package in place by the tuition due date.
