Clinton Community College (CCC) will celebrate the accomplishments of more than 270 students on Monday, May 13, during its 77th Commencement Ceremony.  

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Clinton High School Yourd Gymnasium, 817 8th Ave. S., Clinton, Iowa. There are 274 students who have applied for graduation in 2024. Seventeen students have achieved High Honors and 83 have achieved Honors.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of these graduates. For those unable to attend in person, the college will livestream the ceremony at eicc.edu/grad24. For more information, contact Mardell Mommsen at 563-244-7001.

  • Elliot Beck
    Elliot Beck began his education at CCC while still attending Northeast High School, enrolling in the Welding Career Academy. Through this program, he not only nurtured his passion for welding but also earned college credits at no cost. Upon high school graduation, Beck obtained a 16-credit Fundamental Welding Certificate from CCC. Now, just a few years later, he is set to graduate from CCC with two additional awards—a Welding Diploma and a Technical Studies, Associate in Applied Science Degree. “Graduating feels so bittersweet. I’m excited to be able to do what I love and advance my career,” said Beck.
  • Gideon Mussmann
    Gideon Mussmann's connection to CCC runs deep, with multiple generations of his family having been part of the college community. From his grandmother's tenure as a custodian to his own pursuit of an Associate in Arts degree, CCC holds a special place in Mussmann's heart. Reflecting on his time at the college, he cherishes the memories of wandering the halls with his grandmother and acknowledges the invaluable support of faculty and staff. Mussmann’s story exemplifies the legacy that defines CCC.
