Eastern Iowa Community Colleges' Muscatine campus will host “Love your Health: World Aids Day Wellness Event” on Dec. 2 in recognition of World AIDS Day. This free event will be held at the Muscatine Community College (MCC) Career Advancement Center, 152 Colorado St., Muscatine, and is open to students and the community.

The event offers free, confidential testing for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and Hepatitis C, along with a wellness fair featuring local organizations and resources. Educational sessions will be led by local health partners, with light refreshments and incentives.

Testing will be available from noon to 7 p.m., with the wellness fair and educational sessions running from 1 to 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, or participants can pre-register at eicc.edu/clinic. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help support clinic flow and decrease wait times for participants.

World AIDS Day, observed each year on Dec. 1, is an international day of awareness, remembrance, and action in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This event is sponsored by EICC, Trinity Muscatine Public Health, The Project QC, and the MCC Student Nurses Organization.
