The Clinton Community College (CCC) Nursing Club has a long-standing tradition of serving and supporting the local community through meaningful outreach and volunteer efforts. The Nursing Club continues to exemplify the college’s commitment to service, compassion, and leadership.
Each year, the CCC Nursing Club hosts its popular Spooktacular event on campus. This family-friendly fundraiser offers a safe and enjoyable Halloween experience for children and families in the community. Proceeds from the Spooktacular event, along with funds raised through Nursing Club shirt sales, allow the club to actively participate in numerous community initiatives.
One such initiative is Gateway Clothe A Child, a fully volunteer-based, community organization that has been dedicated to helping children in need since 2001. Through this partnership, the CCC Nursing Club helps support families by ensuring children have access to essential clothing during difficult seasons.
Over the years, Gateway Clothe A Child has provided an estimated $230,000 worth of clothing and food to children facing the challenges of seasonal weather and financial hardship. The impact of this program extends far beyond material assistance. Following their shopping experience, children and volunteers are invited to share a warm breakfast, generously prepared and provided by dedicated volunteers and the Free Masons, fostering a sense of community, care, and connection.
