What You Learn in the Manufacturing Maintenance Tech Program

Understand electrical circuits, wirings, and troubleshoot electrical issues. Study mechanical components including gears, bearings, and hydraulics. Learn the principles and application of fluid power systems.

This is a non-credit certificate program which means enrolling is a breeze. You can complete this certificate in as little as 16 weeks or at your own pace.

6Courses

Complete six, eight-week courses, and you'll earn a certificate:

Workplace Safety
Measurement, Hand Tools, and Fasteners
Basic Electricity
Introduction to Hydraulics/Pneumatics
Introduction to Print Reading
Introduction to Mechanical Systems

Three classes will be offered every eight weeks. You can complete the certificate in as little as 16 weeks or at your own pace.

6Courses

Complete the Workplace Safety course first, then enroll in the others in any order you'd like. Take classes at the Blong Technology Center in Davenport. Learn using high-tech simulators that resemble the equipment you will use on the shop floor.

This program costs $4,725 and you can pay for each class as you go.
