Apply

Study environmental science and build a solid foundation in general education classes at EICC. With low-cost tuition and guaranteed transfer agreements in place, this is the smart way to do your first two years. Small classes instead of huge lecture sections are a bonus, too.

What You Learn in the Environmental Science Pathway

Dive into common environmental problems and discuss possible causes, consequences, and remedies. Begin your studies in physical geology and learn about rock and hydraulic cycles, erosion, and earthquakes. In biology and chemistry courses, study cell division, genetics, the composition of matter, and more. Other courses give you the general education needed to transfer. You graduate prepared to succeed at a four-year college.

What Can I Do With A Career In Environmental Science?

You choose. Safeguard residents and communities. Develop plans to clean up pollution and brownfield sites. Work with industries to reduce waste. Document environmental hazards and health risks. You can advise federal and state policymakers. Work in an office or a lab, or in hands-on in the field investigating conditions and collecting data.

It is a rewarding career field that focuses on the health of our natural world which is tied to the well-being of each person living on our planet. Your work has impact.
