Zoom Phone Launch Schedule & Support
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is launching Zoom Phones, a cloud-based phone system that integrates with the Zoom platform. The rollout will happen in phases by location, with on-site IT support on each site's launch day.

What to Expect
- IT technicians will be on site to assist and distribute headsets.
- During the phone number porting process, you may experience a brief 30-minute outage of phone service. Zoom meetings and internet will remain fully operational.
- After the switch, CISCO phones will be removed by IT. Please ensure your phone is cleared and accessible on your desk.

Tips & Tricks
- In the Zoom desktop app or mobile app, click the Phone
tab.
- Enter a name, number, or extension.
- Click the blue phone icon
.
- While on a call, click Transfer.
- Enter the name of the person to transfer to.
- Click the blue transfer button
.
- Select the transfer method.
- While on a phone call, click Meet
.
The meeting will transfer to an instant Zoom Meeting.
- In the Zoom desktop app or mobile app, click the Phone
tab .
- Click Voicemail.
- Locate the voicemail you want to listen to, and press Play
.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Phone, then click Settings.
- In Call Handling, under Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit, then click Add Audio.
- Record a new greeting or Upload a file.
