What You Learn in Respiratory Care

Start with the human body and how it functions, and grow from there. Learn the science of respiratory and cardiovascular systems and techniques to provide care to patients of all ages. Take some courses with us and most of your respiratory therapy education from NICC. Complete the program and take the National Board for Respiratory Care exam.

What Can I Do as a Respiratory Therapist? 

As an allied health specialist you play a crucial role on the healthcare team. Work closely with physicians to care for patients with breathing and heart conditions. Provide assessment, treatment, diagnostic testing, and rehab. Work in hospitals, clinics, home health, and more.

The application process, admission, costs, and clinical requirements for the Respiratory Care program can be found at nicc.edu/respiratorycare. Don’t forget to stop by the CCC, MCC or SCC Registrar’s Office and request your transcript be submitted to NICC.

You must provide documentation of CPR certification at the healthcare provider or professional rescuer level.
