"Dr. Pickard's multifaceted experience within EICC and his extensive involvement in collaborative initiatives with colleagues and external partners make him an exceptional choice for Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs,” said EICC’s Interim Chancellor Dr. Liang Chee Wee. “His commitment to academic excellence, student success, and his vision for the future of education and career readiness align well with EICC's mission."
Throughout his tenure, Pickard has been instrumental in representing EICC on numerous projects, including the State of Iowa’s Transfer Majors Steering Committee, the Regional Planning Partnership for college and career readiness with K12 partners, and the HLC Assessment Academy Team. His collaborative efforts with local businesses and industries on workforce development projects further underscore his dedication to fostering community partnerships.

"EICC has been my home for over two decades, and I am deeply committed to our mission and values. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff to shape the future of education and empower our students to achieve their fullest potential."
Scott Community College President Ann Lawler will continue to serve as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs until Pickard assumes his new role. Lawler will also oversee the search for Pickard's replacement as Dean of Agriculture, Business, and Professional Services, with the goal of having the new appointment in place by summer.
"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Pickard on his well-deserved appointment. His leadership will undoubtedly further enrich the academic experience for our students and support our faculty colleagues inside and outside the classroom,” said Wee.
