The DeWitt Career Advancement Center brings college credit, career training, and workforce education into our community.

Learn in modern classrooms and labs with current technology and equipment. Train in spaces built to reflect the work happening across eastern Iowa. This is a place to test your interests, sharpen your skills, and prepare for what comes next.

Start career training in high school

Earn college credit before graduation. EICC Career Academies give high school students hands-on experience in fields tied to local jobs and future education. Learn with current equipment, build practical skills, and see what the work is really like.

DeWitt Career Academies include:

Students who complete the Healthcare Academy qualify to take the certified nurse aide (CNA) exam.

Take college classes in DeWitt

Start earning EICC credit without leaving DeWitt. Take general education and introductory courses such as Public Speaking, Medical Terminology, and Nutrition, then keep moving through classes online or at another EICC campus.

Course offerings change by term, with more local options added as schedules develop.

Non-credit programs 

Non-credit workforce training classes and programs are offered in DeWitt, too, including:

EICC's Process Technology program is unique. You prepare for work in manufacturing, food production, energy, and other industries. Also called P-Tech, this short-term certificate blends classroom learning with hands-on training. Build skills in equipment, systems, automation, quality, safety, and plant operations. Part of the program takes place in DeWitt, giving students access to current equipment and practical training close to home.

Community Education

Try something new, build a useful skill, or make time for an interest you enjoy. Community Education classes bring practical, social learning opportunities to DeWitt, with creative offerings such as Blind Date With a Book, Graduation Party Prep, Bedazzle a Book, and using Canva to create your very own Year in Review. 

Classes change throughout the year and there is always something new to explore.
