After high school, that certificate can land you an entry level position in the industry or keep going. Build on your certificate with an EICC Diesel Technology diploma or AAS degree.

During high school

AUT:115 Shop Safety, 1 credit
AUT:606 Basic Electricity, 3 credits

Term 2 - Spring, 4 credits

DSL:815 Preventative Maintenance, 1 credit
AUT:614 Electrical I, 3 credits

Term 3 - Fall, 5 credits

DSL:352 Intro to Diesel Engines, 2 credits
DSL:629 Heavy Duty Brakes, 3 credits

Term 4 - Spring, 5 credits

DSL:150 Truck Electrical Systems, 3 credits
DSL:603 Hydraulics, 2 credits

Finish your degree after high school

Or specialize in agriculture equipment. Be hands-on, troubleshoot, and repair. Inspect, repair, and overhaul trucks, buses, heavy vehicles and equipment, including bulldozers and cranes.
