What You Learn in Diesel Technology 

Diesel technicians keep freight lines moving and supply chains booming. In our program, master the ins and outs of big trucks, including computer systems and engines. Or specialize in agriculture equipment. Be hands-on, troubleshoot, and repair. Graduate with the skills to keep big rigs and combines running and prepared to earn Automotive Service Excellence certification in eight key areas.   

What Can I Do With a Diesel Technology Degree?

Walk into a great career. Work for a construction company, dealership, or drive train shop. Be a fleet technician or repair agriculture equipment. Inspect, repair, and overhaul trucks, buses, heavy vehicles and equipment, including bulldozers and cranes. The efficiency and durability of diesel engines have set the standard in powering trucks and buses today, and long into the future.

Our Automotive Technology program is certified by Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). And we want the same for our graduates. We prepare them for certification tests in eight areas: Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train & Axles, Brakes, Heating & Air Conditioning, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Suspension & Steering, Electrical/Electronics Systems, and Engine Performance.

This equipment will cost an estimated $1,000 - $4,000, but don't worry, you may qualify for programs to help cover the expense. We also invite vendors, like Snap-On, to campus.
