Parking for Students with Disabilities

You will find accessible parking spaces directly outside the back door of the college. The back door entrance is also wheelchair accessible. Unauthorized vehicles parking in those spaces will be fined $100 by the city of Clinton. 

Student Parking

Park in the student parking lot for free. It is in front of the college. Or park on the streets in front of or behind the college.

Illegally parked vehicles will be subject to the following action:

• First violation: college warning ticket is issued.
• Second violation: $25 city citation.
• Third violation: vehicle is ticketed and towed at owner’s expense.

The first and second violations may be pre-empted by any of the following violations:

• Parking in a space designated for individuals with disabilities. 
• Blocking a traffic lane.
• Blocking another vehicle from exiting a parking space.
• Blocking a fire lane.
• Parking in a tow-away zone.
• Parking between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Parking for Students with Disabilities

Accessible parking spaces are designated by yellow striped areas with a painted symbol of accessibility on the pavement and a sign at each space. Only vehicles prominently displaying a state-issued persons with disabilities parking permit can use these spaces. Vehicles without a permit will be towed at the owner’s expense. If your car is towed, contact the Student Development office.

Student Parking

Park in the student parking lots for free in front of the college. 

• Park in designated striped areas only.
• If you park in a non-designated area, you'll find a violation sticker on the front window.
• If your car will be in a lot overnight, please contact the maintenance department.
• Maximum speed limit on campus is 20 miles per hour. Drivers caught speeding or driving improperly on college grounds are subject to disciplinary action.

Parking for Students with Disabilities

Accessible parking spaces are marked with a symbol of accessibility on the pavement and appropriate signage. A state-issued persons with disabilities parking permit must be prominently displayed in or on the vehicle. Temporary permits are available from the Business Office.

Student Parking

Parking is free on the Belmont Campus.

• Park in designated yellow striped areas and gravel lots only.
• No parking areas are designated by cross-hatched lines and/or appropriate signage. This includes areas such as the end of parking rows, curbs, traffic areas, etc.
• Vehicles parked in any area other than a designated parking space will be towed at the owner's expense. If your vehicle is towed, contact the Information Center, evening college assistant, or the switchboard.
• The college is not responsible for the security of vehicles in the parking lot.
• The maximum speed limit on campus is 20 miles per hour. Drivers who are speeding or driving improperly on college grounds are subject to disciplinary action.

There are many free parking options at the SCC Urban Campus.

• There is free, two-hour, on-street parking, including limited accessible spots.
• Students can park for free on the top floor of the Harrison Parking Ramp (in the 300 block of West Second Street) and the Redstone Parking Ramp (100 block of West River Drive) with an Urban Campus parking permit. Get your parking permit from the Student Service Office on the first floor of the Urban Campus. Bring your license plate number.
